The Laundry Attendant is a high production position in the Housekeeping department. High production must be met in sorting, washing, drying, folding and stocking bed linens, towels, and table linens so Room Attendants are not waiting for items to complete their rooms.
Some duties and responsibilities of the Laundry Attendant position include:
Sorting and weighing used linen and terry, properly loading in washer and dryer use correct settings on machines for washing and drying. Folding and stacking cleaned products. Setting aside stained linens, towels for special washing. Safety first while working in the laundry.
Some desired qualifications for the Laundry Attendant position include:
Able to meet physical qualifications of the job, which include bending, twisting, lifting, pushing and long periods of standing. Able to work as part of a team to assist others to complete housekeeping assignments. Able to understand and follow all safety related rules at all times. Basic machine operation skills.
