SARAH TREADWAY, PRESIDENT AND CO-CEO

As Co-CEO and President for Stout Street Hospitality, Sarah runs all of the operations of seven hotels, has approval and oversight of all capital and operation budgets, and in partnership with her brother, Eric Holtze Co-CEO, steers the mission and vision of the company. Committed to giving back to the communities in which she works, Sarah has imparted this philosophy throughout her 10 years with the company by creating the SSH corporate sponsorship of Ronald McDonald House. She has been on a number of boards including the Junior League of Denver and Historic Denver. Sarah’s passion is with children; after her first son’s premature birth and his subsequent stay in a NICU, Sarah joined the Board of the Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation. She chairs their largest fundraiser annually. Sarah also sits on the House Operations Committee for the Ronald McDonald House Denver and Aurora and volunteers with ACE Scholarships. A graduate of Bucknell University, Sarah also received her MBA from Denver University. She lives in Denver with her husband and two young sons.

ERIC HOLTZE, CO-CEO

A fourth generation family business owner, Eric is Co-CEO of Stout Street Hospitality and responsible for all real estate investments. Prior to this role, Eric held a number of development and financial analysis positions in the hotel industry. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Bucknell University and a master’s degree from the Cornell School of Hotel Administration. When not searching for the next deal, Eric serves on the board of the Denver Ronald McDonald House and enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. While an aspiring skier, pianist, culinarian, and golfer, Eric will most likely be found reading next to the peonies in his wife’s garden.

CHRIS SCHEER, CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Chris Scheer joined Stout Street in 2004. As the CFO, Chris oversees all financial, legal and accounting matters for the company and each owned or operated hotel. Since 2006, he has successfully secured or restructured close to $300 million in debt and recapitalized virtually all of the equity interests in the five core Magnolia properties. Chris is a CPA licensed in Colorado and a former audit manager for a large public accounting firm. He received his B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting from Washington & Lee University. An avid skier, golfer, fisherman and overall outdoors enthusiast, Chris currently focuses most of his free time on his two kids as well as community involvement, having recently served as a board member for ACE Scholarships, Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Emily Griffith Foundation.

NICK MARCOVECCHIO, VICE PRESIDENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES

“Join the Navy, and see the world.” Remember that old recruiting slogan? At 17 Nick did just that. Seeing the world, including swimming in the three major oceans of the world, was a life changing experience. From then on, Nick has done the non-traditional in many stages of his life and career. After graduating with honors from the University of Utah, Nick’s career path became more of a hiking trail. Nick found the fascination of the hospitality business working and living in Bryce Canyon National Park. He was hooked. Nick spent the next 18 years living and working in National Parks around the western United States. Nick has been with Stout Street Hospitality since spring 2004. Nick’s vision of HR is to develop the talent, creativity and contributions each employee can make to our culture. This vision encompasses doing things outside the job description, and using the service instincts our employees possess. Nick’s enchantment of the outdoors continues with the Sierra Club, National Trails Foundation and Rails to Trails.

KELLY WALL, VICE PRESIDENT OF ACCOUNTING

Kelly’s contribution to Stout Street Hospitality includes budgeting and forecasting, financial review and oversight, lender, tax and partner reporting, expense management, payroll administration and internal controls. He and his beautiful wife live in Colorado, where Kelly is a 4th generation resident. In his free time, Kelly enjoys the craft beer scene, playing poker, cheering on the Broncos and spending time with his adorable 2-year-old son. Kelly followed in his parents’ footsteps to The University of Colorado, where he graduated with a Business Degree with an emphasis in Accounting. Kelly started his career with Stout Street Hospitality right out of college, 13 years ago.

LINDA FISHER, REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS

Linda started working in the hospitality industry over 30 years ago and has been with Stout Street Hospitality for 26 years in various positions from design and development to recruiting leadership positions for the management teams. Throughout her tenure, she was instrumental in opening the Dallas, Houston, Omaha, and St. Louis Hotels. She was key in re-positioning the Denver Hotel from an extended stay property to a full service hotel. Additionally, she led teams through renovations and stabilization. Linda grew up in Ohio and ventured to Colorado for college in the late 1970’s. She now calls Denver her home and lives here with her husband of 25 years. She has two grown children who both reside in Denver. As a family, they love to snow ski in the winter and water ski in the summer months. She also loves spending time outdoors and watching football.

JOHN REMMERS, REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS

John’s accomplishments throughout his career with Stout Street Hospitality include being named a 2014 Top 100 General Managers in the country and successfully transitioning a branded hotel into a “flagged” Magnolia Hotel. John lives in Houston, Texas with his wife and two teenage children. John’s passions are his family and community; he stays very active by supporting his children in competitive swimming, completing full Ironman events and volunteering his time with the Houston Ronald McDonald House and the National Ironman Foundation. He is also a member of Habitat for Humanity Jacksonville and Houston. John has been on a number of boards including the Greater Houston Hotel and Lodging Association, Convention and Visitors Bureau and The Arc of Jacksonville. As a graduate of the Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management (University of Houston campus), John is on the quarterly circuit of speaking to the hospitality students and advising them on career choices. He also plays an active role in the Hilton College’s Alumni Association.

MARK BANASZEWSKI, CORPORATE DIRECTOR OF TECHNOLOGY

Mark has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry with much of it spent working for the leading ski resort companies. Mark joined Stout Street Hospitality in 2015 and during his time with the company he has been a leader in implementing a new hybrid technology environment, which leverages cloud technology and services in conjunction with localized technology necessary for the many different hospitality brands. This change allows Stout Street to quickly scale and adapt to the rapidly changing technology requirements. Mark lives in Denver with his wife and daughter.

JASPER VERLAAN, CORPORATE DIRECTOR OF SALES

Born and raised in The Netherlands, Jasper moved to Colorado in 2011 to start the American chapter of his hospitality career. He started at Magnolia Denver as Director of Sales and was promoted to Corporate Director of Sales in 2014. In his current role, Jasper oversees all revenue streams for Stout Street Hospitality hotels. As a father of 2 young girls, Jasper is passionate about giving all youth a chance to succeed in life – that is why he joined the Advisory Board of Soccer Without Borders. This organization’s mission is to provide underserved youth a toolkit to overcome obstacles to growth, inclusion and personal success. Jasper loves hiking the Rocky Mountains and following it with a great meal at one of Denver’s many restaurants. He​ is a Hospitality Management graduate of CHN University.
